Life story, article of LIFE photographer William Vandivert who was the first person to be allowed access into Adolf Hitler’s bunker after the fall of the Third Reich.
Some of his photographs were published in Life magazine , but most were unpublished . In this website you will find the unpublished pictures of his time, and have a new look at the devastation that was left behind after this tragedy.
William Vandivert passed away in 1992.
